The Ukiah area abounds with recreational opportunities. Hit the links at Mendocino County’s only 18-hole golf course, with sweeping valley views and club rentals available. Or if disc golf is more your game, you can choose from four challenging, well-marked courses, all set in scenic hills at Low Gap Park.

Take A Hike

Ukiah is surrounded by well-maintained, scenic hiking trails. Overlook the entire valley from one of Low Gap Park’s many paths, hike the City View Trail, or wind your way around beautiful Lake Mendocino on one of the many hiking trails. Cow Mountain Recreation Area consists of thousands of acres of open space managed by the BLM. For hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, off-roading, this statewide destination has something for everyone.

Spend A Day At The Lake

Lake Mendocino is surrounded by wooded campsites and recreational areas. For fishing, boating, and other water sports, the natural beauty, clear water and peacefulness of this lake, formed by Coyote Valley Dam in 1958, are a perfect fit.

Try Something New

Ukiah has public tennis courts, a skate park and nearby Hopland which has great bocce ball courts. For directions, please contact our Visitor Center at 707-467-5766.
