Almost-Fringe Festival ( All Day )

Loosely based on the international Fringe Art movement, this month-long festival will celebrate all the arts happening in April 2017 within the main travel corridors of Mendocino County. Festival will include musical performances, arts for the senses, art creation marathon and more! These dates are for Gualala, Point Arena, and Manchester.  Details will be posted at a later date. Spring Plant Sale At Mendocino College ( 9:00 am - 3:00 pm )

Mendocino College Agriculture Department & the Horticulture Club annual plant sale featuring heirloom vegetables, California natives, shrubs & berries and hard to find plants. Various College clubs such as the Ceramics Club, Culinary Club, Art Club and more will be selling their products.

Ukiah's premier weekly community event! The year-round Ukiah Saturday Farmers' Market features fresh seasonal local produce, naturally raised local meats, cheese, honey, seasonal flowers, baked goods, local crafts, live music and more. Seventh Annual Mendo Garden Expo ( 10:30 am - 4:00 pm )

This is a free one-day event in the 17,000 square foot Carl Purdy Hall at the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds, 1055 N. State Street, Ukiah.  The goal is to educate and create a forum for the public to explore topics like organic gardening, hydroponic gardening, sustainable living, innovative gardening techniques, biodynamics and renewable energy.  The day will include activities for the entire family; with food available prepared by Black Dog Farm and beverages by The Pub.   http://www.gardenrebelsexpo.com

Anderson Valley Brewing Company ( 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm )

The 21st Annual Legendary Boonville Beer Festival features unlimited tastings from over 90 breweries set among the bucolic hills and redwoods of the Anderson Valley.  The event takes place at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville.  Crafts, food, beer making booths and live music! Tickets will go on-sale via Eventbrite in late February or early March.  This event is for 21 or over.  No dogs allowed.

Acoustic Guitar Workshop ( 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm )

Right Hand Power Picking with Master Guitarist & Mel Bay Author at Yoga Mendocino, 206 Mason Street.  This 3 hour workshop will be a total immersion in several right hand picking and strumming techniques that can bring new life and rhythm to your guitar playing.  Workshop is limited to first 20 students.  Tickets available at Dig!Music, Mendocino Book Company.




UkiaHaiku Festival ( 2:00 pm )

The 15th Annual Ukiahaiku Festival is a celebration and competition devoted to the Haiku form of poetry.  Postmark deadline for Haiku competition is March 17, 2017.  For details look online.   http://www.ukiahaiku.org The celebration will take place at the Ukiah Civic Center, 300 Seminary Ave., Ukiah.




Mendocino College Recording Arts & Technology Club ( 6:00 pm )

The Visit Ukiah Program is spreading the news about the Ukiah Valley. Funded by the lodging tax from local hotels and managed by a seven member advisory group with local representatives from the retail, wine, hotel, tourism, and art sectors, the program is responsible for marketing Ukiah as a destination for leisure vacations and business meetings to improve the City’s tax base and grow Ukiah’s stock in the State’s tourism industry.
